Canary Health Presents at The Health Plan Alliance Consumer & Employer Market Strategies Event

The Health Plan Alliance Consumer & Employer Market Strategies event, held July 19th – 21st, 2016, gathered a select group of executives from Regional Health plans and companies in digital health management technology for two days of events and presentations in Dearborn, Michigan.

Health Plan Alliance is an industry association of health plans, hospitals and physicians working together to improve operational and financial performance, medical management and market position.

Canary health was represented by Neal Kaufman, CMO, and Bruce Peterson, VP sales Midwest region. They presented Canary Health’s digital self-management support interventions addressing lifestyle (diet and physical activity), chronic condition management, caregiver support and stress management.

Attendees learned how Canary Health’s Chronic Condition Self-management Programs assist individuals managing a variety of chronic illnesses such as heart disease, diabetes, arthritis, and depression, and how these programs improve Health Plan business and clinical outcomes.

Canary Health’s CDC recognized digital Diabetes Prevention Program (DDP) was presented along with supporting data proving the effectiveness of pre-diabetes behavior change programs to reduce the risk of individual progressing from pre-diabtes to Type 2 diabetes.

Digital health self-management programs not only engage individuals to help themselves manage their own conditions, they also help large organizations manage the costs associated with individuals at risk for developing, or living with, ongoing chronic health conditions.

The key learning from this event was greater connectivity, integration, and engagement are continuing to become more of a priority as the chronic care health sector evolves and digital health services become the standard.
