Diabetes Self-Management Program Reduces Costs

Recently published in the Journal of Medical Internet Research, the Stanford-Anthem study explores online digital therapeutic programs for patients with diabetes and its effectiveness on reducing healthcare costs and improving patient outcomes. The study found healthcare cost savings of $815 per patient in year following the program, and a decrease in the use of health-related resources, such as emergency departments and outpatient visits to name a few.
