
ICER Finds Digital Diabetes Prevention Program Effective and Cost-Saving
ICER (Institute for Clinical and Economic Review), based in part on their analysis of Canary Health’s digital DPP (Virtual Lifestyle Management), concluded that DPP services be adopted by all payers and providers.
ICER found that both:
•in-person DPP with group counseling and
•digital DPP with human coaching demonstrated “incremental or better net health benefit compared to usual care” AND was “cost-effective or cost-saving”.
