Canary Health® Partners Internationally with Life for a Child
Neal Kaufman, MD, MPH, is currently the Chief Medical Officer at Canary Health, but prior to his current role and still today, Dr. Kaufman has been invited to partner with a number of diabetes related charities internationally. They are partnerships that allow him to ‘pay it forward’, but also to offer Canary Health a unique perspective on patient care that has been instilled in the organization and the programs we offer. For over 30 years, he was a camp doctor at a Southern California summer camp serving children and youth with diabetes. He supported a youth lead organization which provided camps for children in Ecuador, volunteering at the first camp and the 10-year anniversary camp. He helped create yearly camps for children in Haiti every year since 2011. He also participated in medical missions to Mongolia, mainland China and Taiwan. His most recent venture took him to Ethiopia, where he partnered with Life for a Child.
