Observations from DTX West

Earlier this month, I was Chair of the DTx West Conference. This was the seventh in the US based series – one occurring each half year and alternating between Boston and the Bay Area.  It has been truly special to see the Digital Therapeutics industry evolve and mature over these several years, and it was a real honor to be the Chair of this past conference.

There were over 300 attendees representing an incredible mix of healthcare – DTx companies, pharma, MedTech, payers, and healthcare professionals. The primary focus of the conference was building, demonstrating, and capturing value from Digital Therapeutics.

The first panel started with Bryce Williams from Blue Shield CA describing their innovative Wellvolution platform and their commitment to bringing digital solutions to their members.  Through that conversation, we explored the opportunities and differences as some solutions seek FDA approval, and the new class of Prescription Digital Therapeutics.

Following that we heard from Saeju Jeung – founder and CEO of Noom.  He described the incredible journey and impact he and Noom have been on for more than a decade.  And he reminded us – actually implored us, to collaborate and partner to really ensure Digital Therapeutics achieve the impact and their transformational potential.

The two days continued along those lines with both in-depth assessment of the industry and identified opportunities for collaboration to grow the industry’s broader impact.

I invite you to see the coverage the event got in both Forbes and MedcityNews.

And importantly, also invite you to the next event.  DTx is now international with the next conference in London June 9th-11th www.dtxlondon.com.
